My grandson is 13 and he wants to be a NASA engineer. I bought this for him. There was no way he could have put this together by himself. Once it did get put together, it's a neat robot. It runs on solar energy and also a battery. Very fun!

This STEM toys is great.The parts are sturdy and the instruction booklet is detailed and easy to follow. The parts come bagged up in the package, which is nice that they just are not thrown all over in the box. I would definitely recommend this if your child loves space, diy, stem or building things!
My 7 year old and my 13 year old had a fun time putting this Mars Rover together. They really liked the solar power option and the motor is switchable between battery power and solar power which is nice for when it is not sunny out. On solar, it will only work in direct light as expected. I think it is a very nice STEM gift for any young child who likes space or solar power. Would recommend purchasing again!
