This little fella weighs in at a whopping 0.1oz which is about 35% less than the weight of a nickel! But don’t let their size fool you… they’re ferocious and will happily attack Jays, Crows and even Hawks infringing on their patch. When hovering their wings flap up to 200 times/second and their heart pumps 1,200 times/minute. To fuel this, they eat over half their body weight a day in sugar!
